Megan Jacobson is a self-taught artist from a coastal town in New Jersey. She creates one of a kind, abstract resin paintings. Entering the art world as a photographer, Megan quickly realized that being behind the camera took her away from enjoying the present moment.Having a deep love for travel and nature, resin allows Megan to reflect on landscapes and moments and recreate them with color and movement. She enjoys working with resin because it permits the creation of patterns and depth that are unobtainable when using traditional paint and brushes.Over the course of her artist career, resin has taught Megan to let go of control in her creative process. After her first pour, the process moves quickly, leaving her no time to second guess herself. This type of art is so freeing and unpredictable, and practicing it has undoubtedly taught Megan to trust her instincts.
